“BUT GOD! (PART VI, FINAL)”

Friday, March 18, 2022

Greetings, Dear Friends ~

Wherever you are in your walk with the Lord, I pray He reminds you of His unfailing love and abiding presence! Although today’s article concludes our series, “But God!” we will, at some point, continue to have a BUT GOD testimony—one that we use to proclaim God’s Divine intervention when we need it most! Whether your need is related to health and well-being, finances, a job situation or family matter, doubt or disappointment, loss of hope, fear or anxiety, help to make it through a tough situation, restoration or peace, lack of direction or any other life matter—there will be a BUT GOD experience! It will be a fork in the road:  If we live long enough, it will happen!

In this final article, I invite to meditate on the following passage of Scripture taken from Philippians 4:19 (KJV), which reads:

“BUT my GOD shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

I want to begin by asking you, “What is your need today?”  In the text referenced above, the Apostle Paul was thanking the Philippian church for its financial support for his ministry needs. He had earlier proclaimed, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13). As many of you know, Paul had experienced a range of circumstances—some that led to him having an abundance of resources and others that resulted in living in lack or poverty. Yet, Paul had learned the blessing of praying to God through each situation he encountered.

To this Philippian church, Paul rallied behind the truth of the matter, i.e., everything he had came from God. His provision and total well-being were all under God’s Mighty Hand! Though Paul was speaking of having the financial resources to live, we may attribute the satisfaction of our every need according to the endless supply of resources of our God.

In life’s highs and lows, peaks and valleys, oceans and deserts, not only is God faithful . . . Not only is God present with us through Jesus Christ our Lord . . . Not only does His Holy Spirit guide, teach, and comfort us . . . but He supplies ALL our need through Christ by His Spirit! Can we truly comprehend the depth of God’s love for us? Love that NEVER runs out!

Consider the following response to what I will call a litany of life . . . .

When we are overwhelmed by life:

But my God shall supply all your need.

When we feel no one understands us or when people misinterpret our motives:

But my God shall supply all your need.

When we cannot figure out how we can possibly get out of a tough situation:

But my God shall supply all your need.

When we are frustrated, disappointed, or confused:

But my God shall supply all your need.

When we are lonely, sad, and feel invisible or abandoned:

But my God shall supply all your need.

When we lack direction, focus, or sense of purpose:

But my God shall supply all your need.

When we feel confused by what is going on around us or in the world:

But my God shall supply all your need.

When we are concerned about our health and overall well-being:

But my God shall supply all your need.

When the enemy comes in like a flood:

But my God shall supply all your need.

When the mountain seems too high to climb:

But my God shall supply all your need.

When we are living with abuse—physically, emotionally, or psychologically:

But my God shall supply all your need.

When we feel we cannot continue to live another minute like this

But my God shall supply all your need.

There is nothing we will ever experience in life when our God will not supply our need. He sees, knows, understands, and is with us. Unlike some people, the Lord is ever faithful and promised to be with us—always! You are so important to His heart, and He loves you with an everlasting, unconditional love. How beautiful is this truth, My Friend?!!!  I pray it is a source of comfort, peace, reassurance, healing, hope, and blessing to you.

Thank you, once again, for allowing me to share with you! May our God fill your life to the brim and allow you to see the overflow! This is my prayer for you as you remember my mantra . . . This world is definitely a much better place because you are in it!

God’s peace and blessings!

Until Next Time, My Dear Friends,

Selah
